There was a large empty corner of our living room that was begging to be filled and styled! While shopping for a sofa, I came across the 'Cooper' armchair by Freedom Furniture. It immediately caught my eye when I stepped into the showroom! Covered in a supple caramel vintage leather, this statement piece has elegant brass coloured legs and a rounded wing back detail. Despite having mid-century vibes the armchair blends in well with our industrial-farmhouse aesthetic.

Our ensuite toilet is relatively spacious compared to the size of our ensuite bathroom, so we use it to store washroom essentials. This Kmart bamboo storage shelf provides the extra storage we need and it helps jazz up the space too!
I gave Sophie the Giraffe a face-lift 🦒 My nephew has outgrown his teething toy so I decided to up-cycle Sophie with some leftover spray paint and pop her in the guest bedroom for when he comes to stay. I used Rust-Oleum metallic rust spray paint to create the luster finish.
When it comes to styling a hallway, the key is to keep it simple. The pieces you choose will depend on the size of your entrance space, and it's wise to pick a piece of functional storage furniture, and where possible add a coat stand or rack. Dress up the space with some artwork and greenery - be it faux or real! Go for narrow furniture where possible. A slim bench seat with built-in storage, or a narrow console table is ideal for the hallway.
My hallway features the Kmart Oak Look Storage Bench and wooden coat stand. I debated whether to put a console table in this space but opted for a bench seat which I find more practical because I use it to sit while I pop on my shoes. Master bedroom featuring:
Complete decor details below: I had an empty corner in my home office where I wasn't sure what to do with. During a furniture shopping trip, I came across a replica of the iconic Le Corbusier chaise lounge, and as soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for the space! I snapped it up as it was the last one in stock, and 5 years on I'm still loving this timeless piece. Made from soft grain leather, I added a genuine sheepskin rug for a touch of warmth.
I gave my loft apartment in the heart of Melbourne CBD a face-lift last year ahead of listing it on Airbnb. I added warmth to the monochrome palette with blackbutt laminate floors, soft grey furnishings, and tan leather accents. The walls and trim were painted in Dulux 'Whisper White'. I furnished the living area for under $600 featuring the items below: SHOP THE SPACE ...
Michelle from @lookwhat_i_found shares how to create this on-trend woven water hyacinth coffee table for only $48!
She combined Kmart's Extra Large Woven Round Basket ($29) with the retailer's Side Table Oak Look ($19).
Michelle goes on to explain how you can either take the handles off or simply tuck them inside and adhere the top from the side table using a wood glue. She recommends adding some weight or clamp it overnight to ensure it adheres securely.
Tracey from @ourlittleredbrickhome shows how versatile the $59 Kmart Rattan Sideboard can be!
She converted them into overhead kitchen cabinets by removing the legs and fixing them to the wall.
On her Instagram post below, Tracey explains how she went about transforming from sideboard to cabinet!
The panel where the legs would normally go is glued to the board, this had to be removed which caused some minor damage but we expected that and planned to flip them so the damage would be on top and not seen. I needed a narrow concrete plant pot for my desk but struggled to find anything suitable, so I converted a simple bathroom cup/tumbler into a concrete-look planter using Kmart's $3 Concrete Vinyl Adhesive!
